on the bus…

Was on the way to town yesterday when I saw this incident…

A rather pretty young lady (ard sec sch age?) was standing diagonal from me, near the exit. She looked quite sweet and refined…

And then, she saw her friend near the front of the bus. Wanted to catch her friend’s attention, the resulting exchange resulted:

Young Lady (YL): Zhar Bor…. (Woman)
YL:  ji guo lai lah (squeeze over)
YL: c*** b** (vuglarity)
YL: zhan na me yuan! (why stand so far?)

Bear in mind this wasn’t exactly a private conversation… she was shouting across to her friend half a bus length away…

In the less than 2 minutes it took her to say those lines, *poof* went the sweet young thing image

new browser!!!

trying out this new browser called maxthon… seems quite clean for the interface… whether it’s as user friendly would depend on much more use anyone using it too?

Unplanned for free weekend…

Was supposed to bring the kids out to a competition…. but… but… cancelled… now, I’m pretty bored sitting in the library on my dad’s iBook tying out my blog! Today’s the canon shootout… but hor… since they said I gotta bring kids out, so I planned to have the day bz and to rest tomorrow…

Sigh… sad hor… wanted to ask E out, but she’s working today. XS seems more keen to go out on weeknights (dunno why also… no matter which weekday we go out, we both have to work bloody early the next day!)

Went for the 2nd adjudication training last night. Interesting again, with some “games” I just might try with the kiddos.

1. Walk through 2 rows (1 angels, 1 devils) in order to decide something
2. 5 sec game where 2 people take turns to generate points

And…. it took me 45 min just to squeeze onto the bus yesterday!!! OMG…. incredible lor… at least 5 of the first bus and 2 of the 2nd bus before I could get onto the bus……. terrible….

(1) is a public holiday (we don’t get to choose day offs in lieu)
(2) I have 12 + 12 + 10 = 34 essays left
(3) I shall finish the 34 essays
(4) I shall find something silly to do
(5) I shall jog and cycle
(6) I shall… I shall… I shall… hmm… I don’t know… any suggestions?? LOL

Anyway, weekend is over…
- another 2 weeks to the lower secs getting their break…
- another 2 weeks of debate adjudication training to go…
- another 6 weeks to debate training camp

Anyway, talking about debate adjudication training… we did this really wierd activity…

we queued up in 2 lines… the trainer pretended to be a sec 3 boy was a deadline on monday, but his friends told him the soccer match of the century would be happening in 15 min, and he was invited! So we played angels and devils to persuade him to either do his homework or play soccer…

I was on the angels side (what else? sweet, innocent me, you know) and guess what I said? The previous person said that if he did not go and play, he would become a nerd and no girl would like him. So I said

SOOOOO? WHAT ARE GIRLS? PLEEZE… GIRLS ARE A DIME A DOZEN!!!

haiz… the lengths we go to just to win….

And… someone asked me over the weekend what my criteria for a boyfriend is… and I remembered this.

I think pretty much things haven’t change much? Still around the same bah….

- Height: about my height when I’m in heels? Could be slightly taller though… keke
- Race: Chinese
- Age: my age till around + 4? hmm…
- Religion: Preferably same bah… or one of the “Chinese” religions…
- Edu level: degree holder? To me, intelligence and ambition are equally important. (Hidden implication – Paper qualifications <> intelligence and ambition)
- Non-smoker, casual drinker ok
- Open to learning new things (coz I’m on the lookout for new things to learn)
- Zest and passion for life
- Not necessary to have common interests – I believe it’s important to learn something together. It’d belong to us, vs belonging to just one person…
- We must be able to communicate intelligently! (don’t ask… if you know, you know. if you don’t, oh well)

- Those who do not satisfy the above but possess at least 90% of the following may apply too…
